It’s not wrong if you’ve got inspiration from other people’s art, but would it be better if you can create your unique and original art instead?
I had ever got inspiration from famous characters, I tried to use the same color, same accessories. You won’t be surprised because you will think of that famous character at your first glance. Let’s see this example. What is a famous character that you think of when you see this picture?
Yes! It’s Mickey Mouse. I use my character design, but with that color set and accessories. I’m not sure about the scope of copyright. I won’t risk selling this NFT. What if Walt Disney takes legal action against me? I decided to delist this NFT from my collection and replaced it with my original one. which is this NFT
You need to think harder when it comes to NFT. It’s not only making art to sell, but it’s your reliability, your responsibility for the risk that can happen in the future. I will only create my original characters that are unique and bold enough to grow as a brand. I want my NFT to be a famous character someday. I know I think too big, but I’m not shy to share my dream with you. :)
Do you remember my NFT at the first glance?
I know that creating NFT by following other famous characters or NFT designs might easily make money. You can see that there’re a lot of NFTs that are inspired by a bored ape, crypto punk, doodle, etc. These 3 NFT designs I see the most.
Some collectors might think that it is an alternative NFT that they can own instead of the original one.
I will invest my effort in creating original art. I don’t like following other people’s ideas. I want to be myself and I don’t care if there're not many people like my NFT for now. I will just keep promoting, creating, and showing my NFT to the world.
